What we do
We report on politics, elections, policy, the economy and the states, and we check public claims against primary sources: statutes, court records, official data and on-the-record statements.
Independence
Citizen Observer does not endorse parties, candidates or ballot measures in its news coverage. News and opinion are kept separate, and opinion is labeled as such.
How we work
Every story carries a byline, a publication date and links to its sources. When something cannot be confirmed, we say so or leave it out. Our full editorial standards explain how we report, how we use AI tools and how we correct mistakes.
