Charles Mack Scanlan 1943-2017

 

College Station, Texas - Charles Mack Scanlan, 73, passed away unexpectedly at his home August 23. Services were held August 29 in College Station.  Mack was born in St. Joseph December 14, 1943 to Paul W. and Gladys Harris Scanlan (both deceased) but moved to Cameron as a young boy. He graduated from Cameron High, Class of 61.

He received his D.V.M. in 1968 and Ph.D in 1979 from the University of Missouri. He retired in 2015 after 30 years as professor at the Texas A & M Veterinary School.
Mack married Glenda Ellis July 28, 1973 and she survives.   He is also survived by son Matthew Paul (Karen) of Allen, Texas and granddaughters Maddie and Lauren, brother Mike Scanlan (Tappy) of Littleton, Colo. and sister Mary Anne Jones (Walter) of Kansas City and several nieces and nephews.
