It continues to be a tough winter for all of us, and the nights have been especially brutal. I sometimes wonder how long I would last during a cold night outside, even with my heaviest clothing. I suspect it would not be long.  
Lexi Smith, daughter of Leslie and Blake Smith, has signed a letter of intent to attend Central Methodist University in Fayette, Missouri, on a soccer scholarship. Lexi currently is planning on a business major but will keep her options open.

Local residents from the surrounding community held a public art meeting on Wednesday, February 13 at Keller Williams real estate office in Plattsburg. The meeting revolved around a community effort to better the town through art.
